The Voovidswing Music Database is a repository where the West Coast Swing Dance Community can collect, rate, and comment on music that we all dance to.
Membership is free. Become a member of Voovidswing.com and you can participate in all things music.
Once you are a member you can vote on any song you like or don't like. You get only one vote per song. If you are a nationally or regionally recognized swing teacher your vote carries slightly more weight. It would be as if you get 3 votes. If you rate a song with three stars. The vote is actually recorded as 3 stars three times. If you are a nationally recognized DJ then your vote is weighted times 10.
Feel free to comment on any of the songs. When you are looking at any of the song lists, simply click on the song name itself and it will bring up a screen which allows you to view comments and add your own if you wish.
Right now the site owner, Rick Weston, is the person that decides the categories. If you feel you have a compelling reason to change the categorization process, feel free to leave him a note in the contact form. He is open to outsourcing the whole process to the community at large.
We are doing everything we can to get the new songs in the database as soon as possible. If you feel you are uniquely qualified to help in this endeavor please feel free to leave us a note.
We have the ability to add links to purchase songs on Amazon but have not yet had time to add them. It is planned to add these links in the future.
Feel free to contact us about advertising on the Voovidswing.com Website. Advertising Slots are available for 3 months at a time. The slots are seen on ALL music pages, no matter how the user uses the database and essentials lists.
